Write it like a text to your best friend

Hey Reader!

There's this thing that happens the moment you open a blank caption box or an email draft.

You sit down to write, and somewhere between clicking "new post" and typing your first word, you become a completely different person. Suddenly you're using words like leverage and value proposition and writing sentences you'd never say out loud to anyone you actually like.

I've been watching this happen more and more because, frankly, AI is making this problem so much worse.

This week's Bold Bite episode is for anyone who's putting on a mask in their content. We're talking about the "beige toast copy" problem, why so many of us default to it, and one embarrassingly simple fix that will change how you write forever.

It's five minutes. Go give it a listen.

And when you're done, pull up your last caption and read it out loud. Would you send that as a text to your bestie? That'll tell you right away if it's time to drop the mask.

Hey, check out this badass project 👀

Eduardo came to me with a unique challenge: He'd built quite the successful business (he's got over 300k followers on Instagram, and a healthy, growing business to show for it!) but he basically had no "brand" to speak of. He wasn't clear on how to talk about what his company offers and he was frustrated that so many bad-fit leads were needing to be screened out because they didn't understand the meaning behind what they do.

He came to us ready for a full evolution to match what he’d built: new name, new visual identity, new website. We helped him become Prismatic Strength.

Hey Reader! How many times have you told yourself you just need to be more consistent with your content? That’s usually where the self-blame starts. If only you showed up more, posted more, made it more of a priority, then it would finally start working. But consistency (or lack thereof) is a symptom of a much larger problem. When content feels hard to create, hard to sustain, and hard to feel good about once it’s out in the world, something underneath is almost always missing: A clear sense...

Hey Reader! Picture this: It's Sunday evening, and you start to feel that familiar panic set in. You know you "should" be prepping content for the week, so you open Instagram with the best of intentions. Forty-five minutes later, you've scrolled past 74 reels, convinced yourself you have nothing original to say, and closed the app without posting anything. Meanwhile, you have a notes app full of half-finished ideas, a Google doc graveyard of things you meant to turn into content, and a brain...

Hey Reader! A couple months ago, I met with a long-term client for a little check-in. I mentioned something in passing about my podcast, and her response shocked me. "Oh, since when do you have a podcast?" Wait a hotdang minute! Don't I talk about my podcast so much that everyone wants me to shut up about it already? (Ahem... replace podcast with your offers/opinions/passions/business-in-general, and I bet you've had that very thought a million times before) This client of mine follows me on...
