Put this in your gratitude journal and smoke it


Hey Reader!

It was drilled into most of us from the moment we could talk:

Always say thank you.

We write the cards. We send the texts. We tag people in our Instagram stories. We scribble in our gratitude journals. We know, deeply, that acknowledgment matters. That when someone shows up for you, you show up back.

And then someone fills out a form on our website and we basically shove them out the back door.

"Thanks for subscribing!" ✌️

No warmth. No next step. No personality. Just a sad little confirmation page doing the digital equivalent of a limp handshake.

I did this for years. Literally years. And I was out here preaching about strategic website experiences the whole time.

It wasn't until I had a mind-blowing conversation with analytics expert Amanda Webb on a recent episode of the podcast that I realized I had a gaping hole in my website experience. The people who were already sold enough to take action? I was losing them right at the finish line.

So I fixed it. And then I wrote a whole blog post about it.

(I actually wrote this back in January and somehow never sent it to you. Today felt like the right time to fix that, too 😅)
